Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

By using the services of Better Adventures LLC, you agree to these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

2. Services Provided

We offer a variety of travel-related services, including but not limited to booking flights, accommodations, tours, activities, meals, and transportation.

3. Booking and Payment

- All bookings must be confirmed with a deposit. The remaining balance is due 90 days before departure.

- Prices are subject to change until the booking is confirmed.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

5. Changes to Bookings

- Requests to change bookings must be made in writing and are subject to availability and additional fees.

- We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate changes, but cannot guarantee availability.

- The itinerary, accommodations, amenities, restaurants, and modes of transportation are subject to change in the case of unforeseeable circumstances.

6. Travel Insurance

All travelers are required to obtain a travel insurance policy to cover unexpected events, cancellations, and medical emergencies for the destinations, program activities, and dates of travel.

7. Liability

- Better Adventures LLC is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or inconvenience caused by third-party suppliers.

- We will not be responsible for delays, cancellations, or changes in itineraries due to factors beyond our control.

8. Client Responsibilities

- Clients are responsible for ensuring they have valid passports, visas, and any necessary travel documents.

- Clients must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

9. Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and will not share your personal information without your consent.

10. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Illinois, the United States.

11. Amendments

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website.

CANCELLATION Policy

General Information

Cancellations must be submitted in writing.
Certain bookings may have different cancellation policies.
If a journey is canceled by Better Adventures, a full refund will be provided.

Group Journeys

A minimum of travelers is required in order for the journey to run. Better Adventures will announce when this minimum has been met on or before 90 days prior to the journey. Do not book your flights until Better Adventures has advised that the journey is confirmed.

Once the journey is confirmed, the cancellation policy is the following:

$500 deposit is nonrefundable.
If travelers cancel participation less than 90 days prior to the start date of the journey, 50% of the total journey fee is refundable.
If travelers cancel participation less than 30 days prior to the start date of the journey, no refund will be provided.

Independent Journeys

The cancellation policy is the following for independent journeys:

$250 deposit is nonrefundable.
If travelers cancel participation less than 90 days prior to the start date of the journey, 50% of the total retreat fee is refundable.
If travelers cancel participation less than 30 days prior to the start date of the journey, no refund will be provided.

Volunteer Abroad

When a volunteer abroad program is selected, full payment of the program fee is due and the cancellation policy is the following:

The consultation fee is non-refundable ($450 for programs up to 12 weeks; $750 for programs of 12 weeks or more).
If travelers cancel participation less than 90 days prior to the start date of the volunteer abroad program, 50% of the program fee minus the consultation fee is refundable.
If travelers cancel participation less than 30 days prior to the start date of the volunteer abroad program, 50% of the program fee minus the consultation fee is refundable.
